W/Threatscape is an interactive installation that allows viewers to see and capture malware from near real-time threat data with their bare hands. The work combines gesture recognition, visual programming and image diffusion models in a unique way, making previously unseen cyber threats tangible and prompting reflection on the constantly changing cyber security landscape.

Artist and designer
Iikko Kuusela is a media artist specializing in pioneering technologies. Kuusela’s work focuses on the human experience, and he is fascinated by how machine learning models and other new tools enable new types of encounters, moments, and works of art. Previously, Kuusela created a portrait of Pekka Haavisto using AI models, led the largest short film challenge in the Nordic countries, and developed gamified lighting design for immersive art experiences.
