With the strategic divestment of its Malaysian operations to its new APEJ partner LS Systems Group WithSecure reinforces European development and delivery of its cyber security solutions.
Helsinki, Finland – April 14, 2025: WithSecure™ today announced a strategic step in its vision to strengthen its European foundation. The company divests its Malaysian entity and business operations to LS Systems Group, allowing it to fully consolidate the design, development, and delivery of its cyber security products and services within Europe. This move underscores WithSecure’s commitment to the European way in cyber security – rooted in privacy, compliance, and digital sovereignty – while continuing to serve its global customer base with the same excellence and innovation it is known for.

Delivering cyber security, the European way
With this strategic transaction, WithSecure is enhancing its control over data handling and compliance practices – creating a trusted advantage for partners and customers alike. While the WithSecure Elements portfolio remains available globally, the development and service delivery will now be entirely based in Europe following the strict guidelines of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other European laws known for prioritizing user rights and data protection. This ensures end-to-end compliance for businesses operating in regulated industries, while also providing peace of mind for customers concerned about privacy and data sovereignty.
New strategic partnership expands reach in Asia
As part of the transaction, WithSecure has signed an agreement with Singapore-based value-added distributor LS Systems Group who will become a strategic distributor for WithSecure in APEJ (Asia–Pacific, excluding Japan). Under the agreement LS Systems Group will acquire WithSecure’s Malaysian entity and take over local operations in the region. After completing this change, all data collected by WithSecure will be processed exclusively in European facilities. The responsibilities for these operations will be transitioned from Malaysia to WithSecure’s European locations, ensuring tighter control, enhanced security, and stronger alignment with European legal and compliance standards.
